The Sindhi Panchayat, Visakhapatnam owes much of its growth, unity, and cultural preservation to the strong foundation laid by its visionary past presidents. Each leader brought their own commitment, compassion, and strength to the community, playing a crucial role in shaping the Panchayat’s legacy.

Since its establishment in 1970, the Panchayat has been fortunate to have presidents who guided with integrity and foresight. From organizing Cheti Chand celebrations and cultural functions, to supporting social welfare, education, and temple activities, their efforts laid the path for unity among Sindhi families in Visakhapatnam.

These presidents have been more than just office bearers — they have been mentors, unifiers, and cultural torchbearers. Their contributions include infrastructure development like Sindhu Bhavan, organizing free health camps, assisting needy families, and ensuring that every religious and cultural tradition is passed down to the younger generation.

One of the shining examples is Shri Deepak M. Menda, the 16th President and the youngest to assume the role. His youthful energy, vision for digital transformation, and community-first approach have helped modernize the Panchayat while staying rooted in our traditions.

As we move forward, we express our heartfelt gratitude to all the presidents who have served selflessly. Their legacy inspires the current leadership and community members to preserve our Sindhi identity, language, rituals, and spirit of service.
